Evaco gives guest lecture at University of Duisburg

With an appropriate lecture the Evaco GmbH took part in the lecture series "Decision support systems" of the Mercator School of Management last Tuesday. At the Department of Information Systems and Operations Research, students were practically informed about the topic “Dashboard and Visualization".

Prof. Dr. Peter Chamoni, Chairman of the TDWI Germany e.V. had invited representatives of Evaco to bring the students closer to their practical experiences. With this presentation, the Evaco participated as a guest speaker in the series of successful lectures and practice-oriented curriculum of the Mercator School of Management in Duisburg.

Focus of the lesson was the creation of an exemplary analysis application for the online sales of a bicycle retailer. The students had the opportunity to discuss the specific differences of associative data architecture compared to traditional OLAP systems in a hands-on session.

The Mercator School of Management is connected to the University of Duisburg-Essen as faculty for business administration courses. According to its own statement, particular attention is paid on a broad range of partnerships, projects and advanced training and thus theoretically challenging but also practically relevant education in the form of a business school.
